Privacy Policy

LughaOne LLC · Last updated October 11, 2026

LughaOne LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the LughaOne language-learning platform. This policy explains how information is collected, used, shared and managed when you use our website and learning tools.

Information we collect

We process account information (such as email address, display name, account ID and authentication information), learning progress, preferences, quiz results, pronunciation scores, vocabulary saved for review and notes you choose to enter. We also process information needed to provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors and manage security.

AI tutor and speech features

When you use our AI tutor, we send your messages and relevant learning context to our AI provider to generate responses. When you submit a pronunciation recording, audio is processed by our speech-assessment provider. LughaOne's application is designed to store assessment results rather than the original uploaded recording. Providers may separately process and retain information subject to their own agreements and applicable law. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information in tutor messages, notes or recordings.

Payments and subscriptions

Stripe processes checkout and subscription billing. We receive billing information such as a payment customer identifier, subscription details, plan and payment status. Stripe handles payment card information; we do not ask you to enter full card details into LughaOne's own website.

Service providers and international processing

Our infrastructure currently uses Supabase for accounts and learning records, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payments, OpenAI for AI text tutoring and Microsoft Azure Speech for supported pronunciation assessments. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. We assess applicable safeguards and regional requirements as part of our operations.

Potential future data partnerships and advertising

LughaOne may consider future commercial partnerships involving aggregated or properly de-identified learning insights and, where lawful, certain personal information. These arrangements could involve compensation, sales of personal information, or sharing information for targeted advertising. This statement describes a possibility; it does not announce an active sale or advertising-sharing program or grant blanket consent to one.

Before introducing any such program, we will provide an appropriate updated notice identifying the categories of information involved, recipients and purposes, and will implement required privacy rights and controls. Depending on your location and the information involved, these may include a separate opt-in consent, a means to opt out of sale or advertising-related sharing, and recognition of applicable browser privacy signals. We will not treat general acceptance of this Privacy Policy as consent where separate authorization is legally required. Applicable legal limits and rights may prohibit some disclosures altogether.

We may also use aggregate or de-identified information about service usage and learning trends for legitimate research and commercial purposes, subject to applicable privacy protections and restrictions on re-identification.

Cookies and technical data

We use essential session and authentication technologies to keep the service working and help protect accounts. Hosting, security and payment providers may process network identifiers, device information and diagnostic logs. We will update this policy if we introduce advertising or nonessential analytics technologies.

Retention, export and deletion

We ordinarily retain account and learning records while your account is active. You can download your account's learning data from My Account. You can request deletion through the account settings when available or contact support. Deletion is intended to remove the account and associated application learning records, but billing records, security logs and backup data may be retained where required or permitted by law and operational needs. Deleting an account may also immediately end paid access and cancel associated subscriptions.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of eligible information by contacting us. Additional rights, including objection, portability and regulator complaints, may apply depending on your location. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Minors

The initial LughaOne service is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a minor created an account, please contact us to arrange review and appropriate action.

Security and updates

We use access controls and other safeguards designed to protect personal information, but no online system is risk-free. We may update this policy and will publish changes on this page.
